Programme Director (maternity cover)
Rebecca is the Programme Director for our childhood obesity programme.
Becka joined us in 2017 as a Portfolio Manager within the Programmes team and became the Programme Director (maternity cover) for our programme on childhood obesity in August 2021. In this role, she leads on shaping the strategic direction for the programme and our work to influence broader policy and industry, to ensure children and young people in Lambeth and Southwark and other urban areas have access to good nutrition. She works cross-organisationally to bring the best evaluation, data and influencing expertise to the programme. In her previous role, her work focused on creating impactful partnerships to improve the nutritional quality of school food in the boroughs and beyond. Becka is proud to be a Mental Health First Aider at work and sits on the Foundation’s Mental Health First Aid group.
Before joining Impact on Urban Health, Becka worked in a variety of roles across the charity sector including as a volunteer manager, leading national youth voice and advocacy programmes, and as a Youth Worker with Coin Street Community Builders. She is also a former Trustee of Healthwatch Lambeth.
