Shirin leads the root causes strand within the children's mental health programme which focuses on child poverty and Early Years provision.
Shirin joined Impact on Urban Health in April 2025, following completion of the On Purpose London leadership programme that supports private sector professionals to transition into purpose-led careers.
Prior to this, Shirin qualified as a lawyer and has more than 6 years’ experience advising businesses on their commercial and corporate matters. She pursued her passion for equity and social justice through voluntary roles, in particular co-founding a grassroots community organisation for South Asian women, South Asian Sisters Speak (SASS) which she continues to lead today.
